Storrs, CN -- A University of Connecticut student was killed when emergency vehicles ran her over while responding to a false fire alarm.

The 19 year old, Jeffny Pally, was sitting, leaning against the garage of the campus fire department on Sunday.  The department was called to report to an active fire alarm and left quickly.  While exiting the garage, they ran Pally over.

As it turned out, the fire alarm was "unfounded."  A review is underway to determine why the alarm went off.  It has been determined it wasn't a malfunction and it wasn't triggered manually.
