Stafford Warehouse Explodes Causing Damage to Area Homes

Stafford, TX -- Fire officials are investigating an explosion at a Stafford warehouse.

The Stafford Police began receiving calls around 4am of a loud noise.  When they arrived at the scene, they located a small fire at Jimerson Underground Inc and extensive damage from an explosion.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and looked for secondary hazards.  No one was inside at the time of the fire.

The explosion damaged nearby homes.  No one was injured. 

Fire officials believe that a stored competition BBQ pit caused the explosion.
