A dryer caught fire at a senior living center. Luckily, fire sprinkler activated and extinguished the blaze. Eldon Ledoux of St. George Fire Department said, “The sprinkler system really knocked the fire down and stopped it from spreading beyond that point of origin.”
July 24, 2015 | Howell, MI
The fire ignited in a laundry room at the rehabilitation center. The fire sprinkler activated quickly, alerting the fire department. The fire was put in check by the fire sprinklers and extinguished by a fire extinguisher.
July 14, 2015 | Union Gap, WA
Passerbyers reported seeing smoke coming from the roof of the building. The fire started in the dust collecting hopper. Luckily, the automatic sprinkler system kicked on and contained the fire until crews could extinguish it.

Fire sprinklers are to thank for saving an apartment building that caught fire in South Carolina. “The building’s fire sprinkler system worked as it is supposed to and extinguished this fire before it had a chance to grow and spread. Properly installed and maintained, these types of automated fire suppression systems save lives and property, and we saw that at this apartment,” said Beaufort Fire Chief Sammy Negron.

Seven firefighters responded to an early morning fire at a warehouse in Pottstown. The alarm from the fire sprinklers alerted the fire department at 4:52am. Thanks to the early alert, the fire was out by 5:21am.
