A fire broke out shortly before 2am on Friday, killing an 81-year old man.

A firefighter was also hospitalized after he experienced chest pain while fighting the fire.

Edward Liberto, 81, died in the fire; he was found in a bedroom.  He was part of a farming family.  His brother died last week after getting hit by a car.

First responders saw smoke coming from the house, but the smoke changed to heavy flames soon after firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
