Greenbelt, MD -- Thirty-six people were displaced after lightning struck an apartment and sparked a fire.
At 7:35pm on Tuesday, firefighters were called to an apartment fire that started on the roof when lightning struck. Sixty-six firefighters reported to the scene.
No one was injured in the fire, but 36 people were displaced.
A man who was home at the time of the fire said he felt a boom and the power went out. However, he didn't realize that a fire ignited until neighbors banged on his door.
