30 Rock has Small Fire - 6 Hurt

New York fire officials reported that there was a small fire at 30 Rockefeller Plaza on July 13.
Camera equipment caught fire inside the observation deck where six visitors were congregated. The fire started just after 7:30pm. It was under control within 30 minutes. Fire crews said that embers fell on the victims, injuring them.
Five adults and one child were on the observation deck at the time of the fire. The adults refused medical attention, but the child was taken to a nearby hospital.
The 70-story GE building opened in 1933 and is the centerpiece of midtown Manhattan and home to the NBC TV network.
